Single cover for Sonya Shats

Cover art for «ЧБВ» («What Happened Yesterday»), a single by Sonya Shats.

The task

Sonya needed a collage-style cover for her new single, and she came to me for it.

My idea

The song is about girlfriends talking about everything that happened yesterday, and it is full of the little things she mentions. I built the collage out of these things, finding my own way to visualise them: make-up, manicure, sweets, relationships — together with the song title, Sonya’s photo and her name, which I wrote by hand.

What I did

— Collage cover for the single, used on all music streaming platforms

— Stop-motion animation of the cover, used as a GIF to promote the release on social media
